Doug Shepherd has been a small business owner in Riverside for over thirty years. He and his wife, Shelley, have owned and operated several business over the years. Currently, they are the owners of Shepherd Realty Group and Outlook Escrow Inc. As a family and as business partners, the Shepherds work together to support their customers and their community. They believe in service and community.
Doug started his first business at the age of 24 and after moving to the Inland Empire in 1987, he became the managing partner of the Veteran Housing Center in Riverside. He went on to obtain his broker license in 1991. As a Realtor, Doug has helped thousands of individuals and families realize one of the American dreams of owning their own home.
Doug has been a longtime advocate of mentoring his employees, many of whom have moved on to become business owners and successful realtors. Throughout Doug’s career, he has employed many people, who have become part of the Shepherd family. Through hard times and good times, Doug has put his team members and their families first.
Professionally, Doug has served in numerous leadership positions in the California and National Association of Realtors and he has served the local association in scores of capacities for decades. He served as the 2011 President of the Inland Valleys Association of Realtors after being nominated and elected by his peers.
Doug and Shelley Nuhn married in 1984 and they raised their family in Riverside County. They have two adult daughters and their eldest daughter is married, has one child and a second on the way. Doug and Shelley boast most about their happiness of being grandparents. They share the love of family with their extended family of customers and employees, who have become lifelong friends. Outside of work he and his wife’s hobby is the raising, training and showing of American Quarter Horses. While Doug has a love of animals, his true love is supporting his wife’s passion for horses.
